O.K., my band finnally has a gig. Its in about 2 months. We've jammed for about a year so we know a lot of covers and we need to decice on three each (that's how we decided to do it). Infected by Bad Religion and Californication by the RHCP have already been choosen. So I need to know which three of these we should do:

Black Sabbath-Black Sabbath
Children of the Grave-Black Sabbath
Wish You Were Here-Pink Floyd
Miss Allisa-EODM
I Only Want You-EODM
Crossroads-Cream
Gotta Get Away-The Offspring
Something In The Way-Nirvana
Herion-The Velvet Underground

That's what I've narrowed it down too, but I only need three.

Actually, we were thinking about Free Bird, but then I broke my slide, and so unless I get a new one thats out.

Definetly Children of the Grave, and depending on the crowd, Crossroads.

However, don't play any Nirvana or Offspring if you're going to play to the same crowd as you played the Sabbath and Cream, likely they'll think it sucks.

They don't really want you to play freebird, their just heckling you

As for the songs, Crossroads if you can do it well. Black Sabbath and Gotta get away as well. That provides the best range of musical genres

Not if he plays the Nirvana/offspring son before Crossroads. That would make crossroads look fkn awesome and while noone would remember the Nirvana they wouldn't remember it as being bad at least

Black Sabbath, Children of the Grave, and Crossroads. Be sure to mix up the Sabbath songs (not 2 slow heavy songs in a row [of all the Sabbath songs])
Fourth choice was Wish You Were here, but in that context... meh. Unless you put it smack dab in the middle of the set list. It WOULD show off some musicianship & diversity.
You know what? Maybe replace Black Sabbath with Wish You Were Here. TWO Sabbath covers..?
You know what? SOME COMBO OF THOSE FOUR.
Pretty good choices by the way

but by far my favorite song to play live is Creep - Radiohead. its not difficult to pull off, accually its quite easy. i just love letting my Les Paul rip on full overdrive for that song, so much fun!
