Same old journey,
To the same old song,
I will miss the days I swore I hated,
Laid in the park all day, procrastinated,
Always second fiddle,
Because there was lipstick on your collar.

The more I think about it,
The more we were the same,
You didn’t move the goalposts,
You played a different game.

I still get a shiver,
When I hear about your latest lay,
If we wanted the same thing,
It makes such perfect sense,
It’s all so ****ing simple,
When it’s in the past tense.

The more I think about it,
The more we were the same,
You didn’t move the goalposts,
You played a different game.

The message is quite obvious, but I like the simplicity. The chorus is particularly strong. Quite metaphorical compared to the rest.

simple and to the point, creates the emotion the writter intends without flirting with outside opinions. I like it. Don't care to much for the random "****ing" but that's just in my humble opinion.

Stars are Blind - Paris Hilton. I heard that and set me off on a destructive rampage for weeks.
