Is practising guitar with a bad technique worse than not practising at all?
What's the difference between a chickpea and a lentil?
I've never paid to have a lentil on my face!

when enough rednecks start talking about how awesome it is, that's when it's defined as classic rock.

define bad technique. ive played for almost four years, and just a month ago i started lessons. my teacher got me to show me what i can do. first thing he noticed was my technique. he told me its a bad technique for most players but it's working great for me. i dont believe there can be a general good technique or a general bad technique. the technique is as individual as the player, theyre style, theyre hands and theyre guitar.
you can go ahead and disagree, but thats just my point of view. what works for most might not work for you. if you start finding your technique is hindering you, then you should change it. till then, rock on with what works for you.

yes its bad. if you learn bad technique, then youll have to relearn proper wich wil take twice as long.

well if you never practise, you'll be a beginner forever... and if you practise with bad technique you'll eventually realise you have to change it... but at least you can play. Also the 'its not wrong its different' thing.
