So a pretty white choir girl asked me to perform with her at the talent show. At my school, of about 1200, every year somehow pretty white choir girls with guitar backing them win. So, anybody have any good songs that i can do to keep the tradition alive? i hate to wuss out, being a fan of metallica and such bands, but i dont want the schools crappy emo band to win. thanks

50 bucks if you win. the white choir girl part was a reference to the chapelle show skit, where he says you can get away with anything if you have a pretty white girl sing it. and no, im not singing. i guess it should probably be something acoustic.

Pretty white choir girl? Reminds me of Chappelle's Show.

If you want to do some metal just do something like The Sins of Thy Beloved or Lacuna Coil.

I'd do a John Mayer song, teenage girls love them and they're fun on guitar and easy to sing
"This is The End, beautiful friend, The End"

u said ur a MettallicA fan so why not do an acoustic redition of one of there songs that way u'll already know it and she just has to learn the lyrics

I wanna like Opeth, but I don't know where to begin. Any songs you'd reccomend?
What do we tell our children? Look before you leap. Stop and think. Don't judge a book by its cover. We believe that we are always better off gathering as much information as possible and spending as much time as possible in deliberation.

Dude, have you seen that video of Steve Vai and Nelly Furtado from the Grammys a few years ago? Do that.

Is no one realizing that the girl is singing, not this guy?

Do some Yeah Yeah Yeahs, or Stevie Nicks//Fleetwood mac.
Or you could do Cheap Trick, most people are partial to them.

Since you aren't singing I'd probably just go with whatever she wants to do.

The Grand Conjuration
Bleak
Hope Leaves
The Drapery Falls

Honestly, just about any song by Opeth is good, it's pretty hard to go wrong with them.
