Ive been playing guitar for a couple years now, and I love it. Go figure. Anyways, Im not real sure about how the mechanics of a guitar work or anything, but recently a sibling of mine decided to mess with the screws holding in my pickups (Active EMG's) on my Schecter. Evidently, messing with the screws makes the pickups go down or up a bit. I was wondering if this makes an impact on the quality or tone of sound produced? The guitar still sounds great, just not exactly what it used to. Im not sure if its better or worse, just different. Thanks.

With active pickups you should move the pickup as close to the strings as possible, or untill in sounds the best.
