I've been looking for a new amp for a while. I'm thinking, along the lines of power, 50 to 100 watts, either a 212 or half stack. I don't care if its solid state or tube, but i like the mesa dual recto sound, but don't have enough money to pay for one of them. I'm just looking for suggestions.
If the minimum wasn't acceptable, then it wouldn't be called the minimum.

Styles of music?

If you like the Dual Recto, look at eBay for cheaper used prices.

i'm thinking a little cheaper, maybe something besides the real deal but still sounds pretty good. i've been looking at the b-52 at100

Nah, I wouldn't suggest it .

But yeah! You can go for the b-52, pretty good, versatile amp. But remember, you can always go used, there's nothing wrong with that!

The Dime wah is nice for not just metal. Pretty versatile in my opinion.

I would think it's great for versatility. I've used it for some cream songs and it sounds pretty darn nice .

But for metal, this thing screams...I don't play metal

Yeah, I would definately look into the AT. Its has similar tonal qualities of the Mesa you were talking about, although it may not be as good.

Well...if you're more into the classic rock stuff...I suggest more to the vox than the dime wah...the dime is more suited for high distortion, etc.
