Well, get ready to get owned by Marshall MG haters.

IMO, the Marshall MG is not very good. At all. It's very bland and boring. I've heard numerous reliability issues with that amp concerning the fan... It's not Marshall Tone I tells ye!

How much you getting that amp for? What music styles do you have? What is your budget? What currency are you using?

getin the ampfor $415 AU.. i like metal/heavymetal etc.. budget is nethin below 500

TBH all pretty crap choices.
The Squier guitar is fine.
The amp is not.
The marshall MG is not a good choice.
Go get a roland cube mate.

Definitely don't get that amp .

I'm not really sure what companies sell in Australia, but look into Roland or Vox.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

I would upgrade the gutar but not to an ESP.

What's wrong with that ESP LTD? Spec wise it seems pretty neat.

I guess it depends on what kind of music you play or sound you're looking for. If you've got fender stuff I'm guessing you like Fenders (me too). I'd think about upgrading to a MIM or maybe even a US made one.

That doesn't matter. As long as you can play it, it should do.
What will make the big difference to your sound is a better amp.
Getting a 50 watt MG isn't an improvement, it's basically just a bigger version of a crap practice amp.

lol and the metal zone is pretty crap too
Tunes, gear and other random stuff can be found in my "UG" profile if you click my name

Mostly I agree with all of the Roland fans here and maybe a Vox.
The guitar isnt my cup of tea eitther, especiallay the inlays. Go for the amp

the mg100 is this and only this: a bigger and louder version of your fender amp. thats it. Solid state in marshall amps suck. not worth it. you could get a much better amp for that money - look into vox valvetronix, or if you want a classic vlve amp go epi valve special. and dont go that guiar unless your a heavy metal fan and fast lead guitarist.

As one guy said, you should try out some Randalls, I've heard they have alot less problems than that Marshall your looking at. When I was at the music store the people directed me away from the Marshalls and guided me to the Randalls, which I fell in love with, I got a 75 watt one. But they are definately worth checking out.
