so I have an Ibanez S520EX, what pickups would you guys recommend. i play mostly metal and rock, some punk stuff for the gf, you know how it goes.

Metallica, megadeth, disturbed, soad, G-n-R, greenday, three days grace, breaking benjamin, acdc....

so what set do you guys recommend for bridge and neck?

the amp i currently use is a crate fxt 120. i am prolly gonna get a cube, i hear they are pretty badass but i have yet to try one out.

Budget?

Lace Sensor Drop & Gains (according to the reviews I've read) are pretty much the best passive metal pickups around. However they also cost $200+ for a set.

Duncans are pretty kick ass and so are DiMarzio (evelotion bridge, PAF neck)...

Duncan > DimarZio for what I play? Because i was leaning towards the Evo bridge/PAF satch neck. oh and i want good pinch harmonics also. want it to be able to scream when i need it to.

Apparently the JB just needs a polepiece adjustment to sound good. I might recommend a dimarzio or something, maybe the vai neck pickup and something else like a super distortion or evolution for the bridge.

I am probably gonna go with the EVOLUTION in the bridge position. still unsure what to put in the neck though. is the satch PAF good? does anyone use it?

^ i use paf joe. awsome pickup.stays clean and smooth when u need it. and when u need it to be overdriven it gets the job done. Excellent lead and rhythm pup from jazz to shred.
