Ok guys, it seems that I have a weird thing going on with my guitar.

Whenever I play a note on the E string from the 12th fret to the 18th fret, you can hear the original note, and the same note an octave lower, I'm not using an Octaver nor I am stoned, but it has been pissing me off as of late, so could anyone tell me or hypothesize the reason why this is happening?

Well, did you pet my rabbit? You see my rabbit is cursed and if you touch him he will curse anything you touch for a year. I don't pet him anymore.

So I just woke up sitting in my desk chair, with my bong on the desk in a bunch of little pieces and my hand super glued to my penis. Speculations as to what the hell just happened and how to unglue my hand from my member would be appreciated.

Make sure you're plugged into an amp. o__O

I doubt it has anything to do with the action though.

sometimes when you fret a note on the bass strings, especially if you hammer on to the string, you can hear the string from the nut to where you are fretting resonating. The pickups do not pick up this resonation though, so it can only be heard when you are playing unplugged. This might be what you are hearing.

I'm plugged in though, and I can hear it through the amp.

Try doing it, and mute all the other strings. It might be sympathetic resonance with one of the other strings.

Already tried that, won't go away. I'm really starting to get pissed off at my guitar.

maybe its your intonation, really weird though . if you cant figure it out take it to a music store or if you go to school take it to the school's music teacher.

And to add, whenever I play a note above aforementioned frets, the original note rings out and then the note an octave below it suddenly beeps.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

Weird. You should open up the control cavity and take some pics...
Also, did you at least try what I advised?

Yep, I tried. Still won't go away.

I should be uploading pics but I don't have a digital camera.

Sorry for the crappy quality, but anyway, you can hear the notes beeping when the original notes are ringing out.
