What are some pieces that are written for Bass alone?

Links would be nice, but aren't necessary.

Dune Tune-Level 42. That version has got Mark King playing with the band, but it's something that can be played solo and sound good, well the polyphonic section at least.

its a slap bass version of it, in the live performacne they had a guitar but its mainly just a straight up bass song

i learned it on slap to improve my chops but you can finger pick or normal pick if you want on it

^ Thank you so much. I'm always looking for more music like that - so far I have only had luck with Seth Horan.

Just when you think you're getting to a decent standard, you watch a video like that and realise how far you have to go.

It's inspiring though - i went home and played for about four hours after watching that!

Stanley Clarke's playing is so brilliant. One of my b-day presents this year is tickets to see Stanley Clarke a local jazz club on March 12th. (woo hoo!)

It just amazes me how fluid and natural he is in his playing, its like the bass is just an extension of his body.
