I know about the truss rod, but one minor problem...
WHICH WAY TO TURN
haha

If you are facing the headstock, looking down the neck- 1st fret closest to you, which way do you turn?

If you loosen it, and you're facing the direction you said in the original post, the neck will bend towards you.

lefty loose, righty tighty

good way to remember it but one big problem

the problem is, its actually a rotary motion but you should only do 1/8th turns at a time.
the direction you move the allen key head in depends on which way you placed the allen key, although i would imagine it's anti-clockwise to loosen it, clockwise to tighten as with most mechanical stuff.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.
