hi, does anyone know how to get a decent funk or reggae tone? im talking about like on stir it up, when Marley gets that clicky tone on his chords. any help would be appreciated.

well ive got the technique down, it just doesnt sound trebly enough. when i turn the tone up, it sounds like shit with my wah.

i just tried it with my bridge PU, a wah, and a lot of tone. it isnt too bad, but it doesnt have a trebly bite to it.

well heres my attempt...treble at 9, mids between 4-7, and bass at 5, and wah toe down

with the slightest hint of distortion...

if you had a tele the bridge would probably give that bite...but these setting are for a neck humbucker (thats what i use with it)

lots of pick scratches help/ make sure u have your treble up high and single coil pickups are best suited for that stuff just lots of trebel get a good tone for that stuff
