hey guys ive played guitar for 2 years and want to get into bass. i have a 110 dollar credit at guitar center. should i just get the best bass i can get for that and not get an amp yet and see if i like it, or should i get one of those reeeeally crappy value packs with a tiny amp?

You can't get a bass that is worth buying (even for a beginner) for $110, let alone an amp and a bass. Save up until you have at least enough for a yamaha or ibanez starter pack.

I would just buy a bass and play through a computer speaker. Maybe even a subwoofer if you have one. Save up a bit more though. 110 will get you a bass sounding like a chipmunk.
