A few months ago, I took this test on what career would be best for me. Thursday, I got the test results back. I wasn't too suprised with the outcome. It said that I was definently suited for a career in music/arts. I started to think about what I actually wanted to do every since I got the results back and I now realize that I really want to do something in the studio working with bands and such, and so I think I might be headed for a career in studio engineering, but i do have a few questions:

1. What other majors can I take that are involved in studio work?
2. Is it a job that is in demand in which I could make enough money?
3. Is anyone here actually in studio engineering that could give me information on this career and tell me what the pay is like?
4. What are some good music colleges besides Berklee?
5. What is the price of Berklee anyway?
6. I got a little while before I go to college, what things should I start learning, if i haven't already?

So can anyone help? any information would be great, even if your not in this field, anything on taking a major in music would be fantastic

1. For studio work, your best bet would be the Recording Industry major (Production and Technology, not Music Business)

2. Yes, so it seems.

3. No, I can't cause I'm still in college for it.

4. MTSU, It is well known for its Recording Industry program and it is close to Nashville (Music City).

5. Dunno, way more than MTSU

6. Other than general education, you really need to take all the music classes that you can.

Let me know if you need any more info.

the conservatory of recording arts and sciences is a really good school cuz they're devoted to nothing but recording, yes it does have a slight demand, but pay isn't that great, if your relly really lucky, you might get 50 thou a year,
