I think Metallica is an awesome name. Also Theory in Practice, Testament, and Exodus. And Nile is a pretty simple but great name too, for the type of music they play.

But I'm not sure if you're asking for names we think are good, or laughably good?

Jesus Fu<King Christ!

Actually a band name. Imagine how hard it would be to get a gig. "So what's your band's name?" "Ya, we're Jesus ****ing Christ..."
#34
^^ No it should be Jesus ****ing tap-dancing Christ on a Stick = METAL

But on a more serious note I think Emperor is the greatest name.

the name Opeth sounds great, but anybody know what it means?

They got it from Opet, in the novel Sunbird by Wilbur Smith. Opet means "City of the Moon" in this book. Why Opeth added the H? I'm not sure.

But Opeth came before Otep remember.

To me, adding the "h" makes their name mean "From Opet" or "of Opet."

Anyways, I think Meshuggah is a great but funny name, mainly because it's Yiddish.
