Yes, he already used to be in a band before.

I personally think its cool that leaders are musicians, like Clinton was.

I knew Blair was a musician, but I didn't know he was planning on starting a band! That would be quite cool I suppose... I'm guessing it's pretty much a retirement for him... I imagine being Prime Minister for 8 years has done him rather well.

When thinking of it, if they'll tour im gonna try and be in one of their shows.

He's stepping down on his terms. Frankly, it can't come quickly enough so Brown can get a spanking in the General Election.

I'd go the live shows just so i could say i moshed to tony blair.

He makes the Stratocaster deeply uncool in my mind. Not even Hendrix, Gilmour et al can save it.

Did anyone watch that Tony Blair, Rock Star thing on C4 last year? It was a documentary about how he tried to make it as a musician before he entered politics. It was very funny, especially when they had an actual recording of him on stage with his band, saying "I've been asked to tell you that the buffet will be closing in ten minutes, so if you would like refreshments please get them now".

Yes, that was a very poor programme.

Poetic licence was used to so much effect that there the recording was basically the only thread of truth in the whole thing.

Not to mention the acting was dire.

And look at the position of his thumb on his fretting hand - it should be back in the middle of the neck, not on top of it.

Give him a break!
Atleast let him play before judging him, by the looks of that picture he was just posing for the camera, not trying to actually play.
