What is the equevelant book of chord chemistry to a rhythm guitarist, for a lead guitarist which has essential theory and covers need to know soloing knowledge.
Well, even as a lead guitarist, really you'll still need to have a good understanding of chord chemistry.
I ran across a book entitled "The New Complete Guitarist" that was well endowed with guitar associated theory applicable to many playing styles (soloing included).
