I tried searching around the site, but couldn't find anything, so I thought I'd ask. If it's already been posted, could you throw a link at me and I'll delete this? Thanks.

Anyway, I noticed I'm a pretty sloppy guitar player.

I was just wondering if there's anything I can do besides practice to be able to play more cleanly?

Any techniques?

Thanks.

Practice everything slowly to a metronome and work on quality and not speed.

Nothing really. There really is only one good thing that's guaranteed to work.

That's right, you guessed it, practice.

Practice with a clean tone or an acoustic. Don't turn up the gain.

Yeah. Everything said above is what I would say. Especialy the starting slowly technique.

use the first four practicing techniques from "finger strenth" in the lessons.

Work on getting more of a vertical finger angle in reference to the fretboard. It doesn't have to be straight vertical, but try and get closer to it.
