Recently my friend took me along to go look at basses with him, and while we were browsing i came upon a 12 string, and i fell in love with it. The bass i played was a Waterstone tom peterson model i believe and it costed around $1400, which is out of my price range. Does anybody know any 12 strings that go for around $400-$500. Thanks

Honestly, the only place I have ever seen a 12 string at that price is either on Ebay or sometimes in used equipment shops.

I've never seen a 6 string for less than $800

Good luck with your search!

Is there such a thing as a heavy riff with out chugging on the e string?

^I bought my six string for like, $400. There's a bunch of sixes you can buy for less than $300. The 12 string he's talking about isn't an ERB, it's just a four string with triple octave strings. It's tuned eeE aaA ddD ggG.

Yeah i just got back from playing one at a local store and i felt and sounded pretty nice. My only complaint about it is that it is pretty ugly.
