Hey all,

I have a fender strat here HSH routed. Currently it has DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge and SD hotrails in the neck. The hotrails sounds really decent in the neck on high gain using the unwound strings. Nice and smooth and bright. Move onto the bass wound strings though, then I get quite alot of muddiness. Someone advised me putting a DiMarzio PAF humbucker in the neck would be the way to go to get the tone I'm looking for. Obviously I'll have to buy a new HSH pickguard. What do you guys think is the best option here?

Cheers
