In my opinion Behringer has only ever made one good product, and thats the Bass V-Amp. I really can't recommend this amp to anyone....for any reason. I even looks crappy. I mean, they could have at least dressed it up to look decent.

I've got a friends who's been playing a Behringer halfstack for about a year now, and frm time to time we'll play a gig with them and that thing has never failed to impress. Apparently, they make some great kits, and others that are absolute garbage.

Yeah some people get really good gear but most people get right dogs. I made the mistake and it decided to break down the other day. ahh well, more excuses for a half stack now!

Personally I love Laney bass amps but Ashdown are good too
Dave Mustain has wrote some of the most amazing solos...
That he can't actually play!

Hartke! I have used an Ashdown and wasn't too impressed, but it does depend on what style of music you play. The Ashdown wasn't too great for metal, whereas my Hartke is.

I've already put a deposit down on one. I don't think the tone is that bad (actually I quite like the slap tone). Plus, the distortion channel's not bad, either. Either way, tone doesn't bother me a great deal at the moment. My question is will it be loud enough to get over a 60 watt solid state 80's Roland Cube and a drum kit in a small room?

Either way, it's guaranteed to be an upgrade from my stereo.

I have the behringer ultrabass900 and i have never had any problems with it after about a year and a half. Thats even running it at nearly full power most of the time. It even sounds reasonable. However, I have had alot of people say that they are unreliable, so I think you had probably better steer clear, I think I got a good one, but lots of people around here got bad ones!
