Probably not tube if it's 200watts, unless he means peak.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

it could be, but thatd be pretty explosive.

It's not tube, I would I think.

The eclipse-II are 1,800, I wouldn't think he could afford it. I say go with a fender american strat deluxe.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

Most of your tone is going to come from your amp, and a good tube amp is probably going to sound a lot better than the solid state that you're playing through now (although good solid-state amps *do* exists, which some people think is untrue ).

What model Randall do you have? Randall solid states are more often used for high-gain music, but I would have to know the amp model to find out for sure .

Getting a tube amp is never a bad decision .

Especially if you play gigs.

Honestly, I see solidstate..being really unclear, while tube amps sound really natural...

I still can't believe i'm a tube amp owner : O!

You're not *just* a tube amp owner.

You're an ORANGE tube amp owner.

Big freakin' difference!

feels good doesnt it

Honestly, it really does! I always look in the back of the amp to check on the tubes...I stare at them 15-25 seconds at a time before practicing.

Apparently the RG200 was discontinued... *shrug*

If you like the tone, then more power to you.

EDIT: And it seems I've been sigged again.
