HI i just wanted some info and opinions on a few amps and maybe some recomendations. I play mostly chilis stuff but also like to play classc rock and snow patrol.
I use effects pedals (see sig)
Originally i was looking at the AC30CC
deluxe reverb
Or a blues junior or deluxe.
I like the way the tube amps break up so an amp that i could reach that point without being too loud would be great.

What difference does it make if you have 1 or 2 speakers in an amp?

cheers

Hmm. You should look into the Peavey Classic 30. Maybe even the Orange Rocker 30. Really good amp's for the money and they sound amazing. Good luck man.

^ +1 on the Orange AND Peavey classic

what was your budget?

Also the difference between 1 or 2 speakers is not too much really (apart from the numerical difference) its basically that the sound is put out through two speakers...so it could sound louder I guess, because more air is being pushed.

Compare one 12 inch speaker, to four 12 inch speakers...see what I mean?

Orange Rocker 30 is a AMAZING amp. Peavey Classic 30 is good to, can pick one up for $300USD used. Also look at the AC15 if you need it to break a a bit sooner than the AC30

Go for the orange rocker. If you want breakup or tube saturation at low volumes look into Weber attenuator, arguably the best, and they are a lot cheaper than Marshall airbrakes or THD hotplates.

Just imagine you have your amp all the way up. It'd be waaay too loud right. An attenuator goes between the poweramp and the speaker and absorbs any amount of volume you want it to, but doesn't suck tone. So essentially you can have your amp on 11 whenever you want.

power attenuators do suck tone. just not enought to make them anything less than a nescessary.

Try them all out and see, personally I love all the amps that have been mentioned in here.
