Is there a game or internet flashcards or something to help me learn the notes on the fretboard? Not ear training, but just playing somewhere on the board and knowing what notes im hitting is what im shooting for. No downloads or pay sites please.

I find it better to actually be doing it on a guitar, its more real that way. Thats just me though.
On the Guitar Trainer site or I guess any guitar for that matter, when I pick a note on the fretboard the only way I can pick it out is by starting at the open note and just going through the notes up to that fret. I'm sure eventually I'll just start remembering them, but I'm just wondering if there is maybe another way to look at it. Maybe something that I'm not seeing besides saying the notes in my head until I get to the one I'm guessing...?
I don't have them memorized yet, but checco, memorize the fifth fret of every string and then you count a lot faster to higher frets.
