This may be in the wrong forum, but bear with me...

Basically, me and my friend (a fellow UGer) are in bit of a pickle. We have a music assesment tomorrow and we need a song to play together, and we are stuck. Like, don't have a clue what to play.

We are both able guitarists, but we aren't up to crazy standards of playing. So, could people suggest some covers that we could do that consist of mainly two guitars.

Cheers

Glad you didn't delay learning a whole new song until the day before it was meant to be played.

you could do "Tribute" by Tenacious D, or on a more serious note, you could pull off "Dramamine" by Modest Mouse with 2 guitars.

Allman brothers songs aren't too hard to learn.
You could also do Paradise City.

Or if you can READ music, just get a Real Book and you have 400 songs right there in front of you. Most of them pretty easy.

Perfect!

Play Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls. Kirk has a couple layers in there. Also, you can play the bass parts on your guitar too. There's a couple good tabs here on UG.

Black Rose Immortal - Opeth

Its easy and it sounds amazing. Most of it is harmonizing guitar parts, which is always a lot of fun. I'm not sure if you have a time limit or not, but this song clocks in at over 20 minutes, so yeah...

Thin necks make you play faster because guitars with thin necks sound thin and bad, and you play fast to distract people from the bad tone.

actually...if you could pull off 'Tribute' well, I think that'd get you a good grade. If you could get that acapella harmonizing bit down good enough I think that'd boost your marks way up.
