i havnt seen anywhere with orange amps. so if i request it, can the store order it in for me?

also. do you need cabs or extra speakers with it. or is that not neccessary unless you gigging large venues?

help much appreciated.

Wow there has just been an explosion of Orange threads latley. To answer your question the tiny terror is a head so yes, you need a cab.

argh things are expensive. arrgh

how much would a cab be

just for jamming and stuff. with full band

and if a cab is neccessary then would the rocker 30 be ideal?
#4
Seriously, those things get LOUD.

LOUUUUD.

Turning a Rocker 30 up past 4 hurts me. Literally.
#5
haha thats good to hear.

but im concerned about the price more than anything

and availability. can someone please help me with this. can i get the store to order them in or something

and what would be cheaper. getting the tiny terror plus a cab
or the rocker 30

is there a amp similar to the rocker 30 but with less wattage. because 30 watts will be more than enough considering its tube.

I have a rocker 30 and it's awesome...played a tiny terror, but honestly, I would get a rocker 30 instead...both are great amps though

Hey man, depending on where you are there are many stores that carry them,

deluxe guitars in Melbourne has the cheapest online price I've seen

Gallins guitars is said to drop their price lower though, but youd have to go there in person.

Its about $800 from Deluxe.

im thinking of just calling a crapload of musicstores in brisbane and asking if they stock orange amps and if they have those two models. and then when i have a grand or so ill go down there

i have to figure out prices tho. that way i know how much to save

Go and play them all first before you think of buying.
Great amps though.

I'm guessing... that's $800AUS for a Tiny Terror.

Because if it's $800AUS, or shit, $800 USD for a Rocker 30, I'm flying to Australia right now.
#12
NO access at all? You can't even travel to play them?

as far as i know, no.
australia sucks pretty bad in terms of guitars and amps. the prices are jacked up coz it has to be imported. and i live on the sunshine coast. its basically a huge town full of deadbeat surfers on the dole.

the music stores only stock marshal and fender. vox if ur lucky.

Tiny Terror is A GREAT AMP, and so is the rocker 30. I know in the U.S. you can get a Tiny Terror and a Orange 1x12 cab for right around $1000USD

^That's not a rocker in the picture, I'm sure. It doesn't have that many controls.

^Hmm, you're right.

That's actually an ad model of Orange. Apparently, AD models have 2 seperate amps sections I think, that's what makes it ALOT more expensive.

Also, they don't really have as much gain as rockers, but they sure are still great amps.

Yea I've tried one, I knew it was an AD in the pic.

Aha, so that's why they're a lot more than the Rocker...

Um here's a list of Aus shops that import Orange stuff, just find the QLD section..

http://www.gibsonami.com/index.php?option=com_contact&catid=84&Itemid=70

All I can say is with stuff this expensive make sure you shop around. Get prices, go back and forth getting shops to match and better prices until you get it as cheap as possible.

I'd say you're better off getting a combo than the Tiny Terror unless you already had a cab for it. And like people said, the Rocker 30 is really loud, so it'd be good enough to gig most venues.

I'm trying to find prices/test play of a Thunderverb.. Orange amps are so difficult to get hold of in Aus damnit.

Oh and you don't neccesarily, if you really wanted the Tiny Terror, need an Orange cab for it. You'd probably be better off finding a different brand cab for cheaper.
Or even an empty cab and buying a decent speaker might be cheaper?
I'm not sure about that but it's worth looking at all your options.

^I actually was debating the orange rocker 30/marshall jcm 800/Vox AC30. All greats amps, but I had to go with the orange.

I'll eventually get myself a AC30 for the cleans, though. But the rocker's distortion is kick'n!
