From the grass on a hill side
To the farmhouse on the plains
Peaks into my seeking eyes
The first ray of a newborn day

Reflecting on the ponds
And gleaming on your pale skin
Comes my precious light
To relieve me of despair

Through the darkest of nights
And through the thickest of woods
Here arrives my favorite sight
To show me all you care

Please turn your head and watch it
As closely as you can
Such beauty comes every day
But none of us care to stay
