in californication it says

"Cobain can you hear the spheres singing songs off station to station"

I know station to station is a david Bowie album, but what are the spheres, and what does station to station have to do with it???

though nirvana did play bowie's "the man who sold the world" at their unplugged, the song isn't on station to station

maybe it makes sense in context with the rest of the song

or it doesnt make sense at all

It's an Anthony Keidis lyric, only god and Kiedis himself knows what the hell he's talking about.
