I got a Ibanez S470 last year around Christmas and i recently broke a string
i decided bah these strings have been on for 2 months so i'll give some new ones a whirl
so i got some new strings and remembered that you keep old strings too keep tension etc etc
but ever since then even with the locking nut on I've still been able to tune with the tuners and whenever i do any type of whammy bar trick it goes dreadfully out of tune.
halp please
Thanks
Terry

Stretch the strings, make sure the bridge is parallel, lock the nut, fine tune. Do not overtighten.

Stretching your strings is pretty essential when replacing with new strings.

Oh right, it's got a ZR-dealio... I've not heard any bad things about those so far. Are they totally great, or just decent?
#10
great for the price, the range isnt as far as a floyd rose with knife edges but it certainly beats most cheap LFRs out there.

isnt the lack of range just because of the S-470s thin ass body?

its coz of the ZR, the older Japanese S which has lo-pro/edge have better range and shorter trem block.

i'm sure it's better than a strats. it's probably just lacking a little pullback.
