i understand how to play the scales, but where do i start, i know you should start a scale on the note that you want the key to be in, but based on this (see top link) i dont know how or wich "pattern" to use, i dont full understand. should i start at fret one or should i go to the specific note? b/c each time i change the scale, as in a major to d major, the notes change. do i have to meomorize the notes in each specific + differant scale?

i hope that all makes sence, thnx for the help.

The orange note is the root of the scale, so simply move that note to the note one which you want the scale to start. So if you want to play C major, move the orange note to the C note on that string.
