There is a switch on my peavey 200watt bass amp, labeled gnd. + -. Anybody tell me what this does?
im pretty sure it has nothing to do w/ gain.

I suspect, if its a rocker type switch and has a position between - and +, it is a ground switch. Keep it in the middle unless you start hearing humming from your speaker.

Anarkee's got it. Ground switch. Don't mess with it unless you're plugging into an outlet that is running through a weird house current.
