okay, so i am a semi-beginner. been playing for about 3 or 4 months, and my friend wants me to audition for his band next weekend. i need a catchy, easy song to play. they want a Killswitch-esque sound, so something like that.

also, what is the formula for drop-c? i know for d, you tune the 7th fret of the top string to the A string open. what about c?

thanks in advance for any tips.

(oh, and sorry if this is the wrong thread, i put it on here for the first question, mostly.)

Drop "C" is like "D" but you lower everything down a whole step; including the "D" you just lowered. Try some Lamb of God, or As I lay Dying. Both are easy enough.
