Hey, I just got the Peavey 6505 today and this is my first tube amp so I don't know much about it. I noticed that when I moved the amp the tubes rattle around and it drives me crazy. Does this mean they are broken or something? Thanks for your help.

No.... do you have Reverb? Sometimes it's both the Tubes and the Reverb Spring and Tank. Just make sure you follow the basic rules of Tube Amps.... Give it 2 or 3 minutes to warm up via the Standby before you play. And let it cool down before moving it afterward. And just be careful when moving it..... try to avoid banging it against your legs, ect. ect.

To add to this, when I turn the volume up on the amp the sound will cut in and out and the tubes make an almost squeaking sound.

if you're having trouble with it, take it back and get one that works, dont try to fix it yourself because that'll void your warranty
