so my band is recording the first week of march and its gonna be my first time in the studio any things i should know and have prepared?

make sure you've got all your riffs solid....other than that its pretty simple...oh, and be ready for alot of eqing haha

know your stuff well, and keep playing things over and over,

do you have a producer working on this project? its nice to have one to help you through the process, getting tones and stuff.

Have all your songs down to the tee. Pretty much it.. And go in there knowing what you want the songs to sound like, at least have an idea.
