Alright well i tuned my guitar down to Drop C cause thats our bands tuning. so after that i noticed my guitar was very buzzy and there was almost no sound or it was all squeaky after the 12 frets.
So then i went and tuned back to Standard and now all my strings are buzzy as hell? The Guitar is a BC Rich Warlock With EMG pickups and a Floyd Rose. Could someone tell me whats going on??

Maybe you're action is too low? Maybe your truss rod is all out of whack now? It could be any one of those.

Why's this in here? Anyway.... the action's probably ****ed up or something's ****ed up eith the bridge most likely?
#5
Well a week before i just got it setup twice cause the first time it was seriously out of whack but it looks like the strings are hitting other frets.

The pickups could possibly be to high, but yeah i would guess something with the action.
#7
i think when you dropped it the floyd rose sunk and when you tuned it back the action messed up or something?

IU would say it's your trem. You have to set it up in the right tuning that it's going to stay in. So tune back to Drop C and set up your trem again and it should fix it? If not then I don't know what it would be.

Well from my limited knowledge.. Someone who knows more will answer soon I'm pretty sure.

Floyd Roses, being floating trems, need to be adjusted to the string tension to sit level. If it's too loose it wil flop forwad and the strings will vibrate all over the fretboard. Too tight and your action will be high.

From what I understand it can take a LOT of practice to be able to set one up properly. Maybe you should go to a guitar shop or someone who knows a lot about guitars and get them to set up your trem for drop C tuning for you.

Yea well i was thinking of getting another guitar so to get this set just for Drop C wouldnt be so bad. like the other guitar i have is strictly drop c right now but its so hard to play fast on. for of a rythem thus the reason y i chose this guitar to drop c in but it screwd it all up. so ill go get it setup again for another 55$ :-( ugh so ask them to set just for drop c and they should know what im talking about? also would getting rid of the floyd rose affect anything on my guitar???

If you just had the guitar setup by someone, tell them you want it in drop C they might not charge you full price again if you just payed them $55 to do it. Unless they're complete dikcs. Yeah so just make sure you tell them what tuning you want it in.

Ask them if you can watch and try and learn yourself when they do it. Better than having to pay $55 evry snigle time.

Take it in to a shop and get your whole guitar re-adjusted, or see if the neck is warped or something? But I don't think it could warp that fast... Tell them what you tune your strings too also, and what gauge strings you use.

Did you use the same guage of strings that you usually use in standard? Because if you did, your problem is caused for two reasons. 1) There is less tension applied to the neck with the looser strings, this causes the neck to become more straight, or even bend backwards a bit. This will cause some buzz. 2) If your floyd is recessed, the springs in the back will pull the bridge into the body more, and due to the design of the Floyd, will lower your strings.

Your problem will be fixed almost 100% by switching to heavier strings.

Either of those is way to low to be de-tuning to C on a Floyd...your bridge will have been butting up against the rear cavity when you de-tuned it.

Was the guitar buzzing when it was tuned to standard? If it wasn't, it's definatly the lack of tension in the strings.

EDIT: Bring the guitar into a shop and ask them what guage they recommend for Drop-C. I would recommend .11s, maybe .12s if you're feeling adventurous

Use thicker strings and tweak your action and perhaps truss rod.
