ok i have a question, i have been playing guitar for 7 months, im self taught, i wanna know if im good enough for someone who has been playing for that long.
I can play metallica's song nothing else matters, all of it with the solo, i can play Unforgiven II's solo perfectly, i can improvise using about 8 different scales. I can also play all of sweet child o' mine with the solo, and another brick in the wall pt.2

so, good enough ? or should i practice more often ?

Another time I was watching lesbian porn and masterbating, when my mom walks in. Like, right as I climax. She's just standing there with her mouth wide open and I'm like "I was curious...go gay rights!" Fu.cking awkward...

I just don't think it's about what notes in order you can play. You have to be more concerned with tone and timing. I can't specifically play those songs, but I'd assume I could if I spent 7 months working on them. You're good if you can make them sound right.

^^^ What that guy said, it's all well and good playing the right notes in the right order, hell i can do that for any given song.

But is you're timing right ??
Is the tone right ??
Is you're equipment good enough to pull these songs off??

If you've only been playing for 7 months i doubt you're packing equipment of slash's standard.

If you want to know from our opinion if you're any good, upload you're songs and let us listen

This isn't related to the OP, but now that I think of it.. I could play any song every played on the guitar... just reeeeeeeally slowly..

no i can play them at the same speed.. i have a greg bennett electric guitar, the roland cube30 and a the Zoom707II multi-effect pedalboard so i can basically get any tone i want. But i heard from a friend that stairway to heaven is a beginner song, and i cant get the solo right, so it got me thinking...

there is no such thing as being 'good enough' after having played for a certain time, and this forum is for non-guitar-related discussion.
