im considering a new electric soon. i currently have a guitar that I can't even find a brand name on(All it says is "Made In China" ). However, im getting a new Fender Frontman amp(http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-FM-15-DSP-Frontman-Series?sku=481135

and im looking into a few guitars:

Gibson Faded Flying V

Epiphone 1967 Flying V

Fender Standard Stratocaster

Squier Jagmaster

What are your opinions on the topic? also, what do u think of the MIM vs the MIC/MIJ? thanks

Excuse me sir, have you been thinking tonight?
get a different amp, that one is shite.as for guitars go for the strat

Tell me what nation on this earth, was not born of tragedy-Primordial
I advise getting a MUCH better amp than getting some sorta super guitar. Amp affects most of your tone, therefore it is better to get a good amp rather than a good guitar.

What's your budget? What is your music styles?

MIM is alright, MIC is the lowest and MIJ is very very good.
my budget is probably 150-300 for an amp, 300-500 for a guitar. im open to any suggestions for guitar or amp. thanks. To see some of my music styles, look in my sig to get a decent view.

You're better off forgetting the budget and just making sure you get the RIGHT amp, otherwise it won't matter what guitar you get - it'll still sound crap. Having said that, the 30 watt Valvetronix fits right in your budget.

or an Epi Valve Standard if you want a cheap, all-tube amp - you'd probably want an OD pedal for a bit more gain though.
Actually called Mark!
