This thread should discuss CR guitarists equipment over time. It isnt about arguing who had the best setup because thats just stupid, everyones setup worked for them personaly, so no saying stuff like " Pages was beter than Claptons beacause he used a LP and Marshall" For an example.

NO spamming either, its annoying and it breaks away from the topic.
The same goes for arguing, its a discussion not a debate.

When you start a discussion on a certian persons equipment post it as folows:

Guitarist - (Previous projects)
Guitars
Effects Pedals
Amp(s)
Websites (links for pictures etc.)

Ill put a list of all the guitarists mentioned as people post.

Brian May-Queen
Red Special, Fender Telecaster(once)
Vox AC-30 He also customizes his amps by removing the circuitry for the Brilliant and Vib-trem channels (leaving only the circuitry for the Normal), and this alters the tone slightly, with a gain addition of 6-7dB.
He always used a 'treble booster pedal' of some kind which, along with the AC-30, went a long way in helping to create many of his signature guitar tones(wikipedia)
Also uses a six pence not a guitar pick.

Jimmy Page - Led Zeppelin, Solo Projects
Les Paul, Dan Electro
Marshall Amps
Gibson EDS-1275:http://www.funshop.ch/catalog/images/artikel/36734.jpg
Fender Telecaster
Lazer violin bow

I don't know about what effects he used. He was also on a tour with The Black Crowes once, but I didn't put that down because it was only for one tour. Same with Robert Plant.
Got Death Magnetic a day early!
