Hey all i was just wondering if the Schecter ultra III was a good guitar for metal and speed cause i love the look of it and i wasn't able to try it out. Does anyone have an opinion on it or have it cause I'd like to know?

oh damn it just grabbed me when i looked at it. What are some pretty decent speed metal guitars. Like Alternate Picking is my love i just love speed guitaring and guitarists so awesome.

schecters have a pretty thick neck, i have a hellraiser myself, i like it, it might not be the fastest neck...

if you want a shred guitar look into ibanez

Jackson and Ibanez and a few ESP models

basically each equivalent guitar in each price range by those makers are gonna be pretty equal (except the cheapest which id have to give to ibanez) so it'll come down to your own preference

that said, you can shred on any guitar but most prefer thinner necks

Yea i was thinking a Jackson i have a BC Rich Warlock NJ series with EMG's and a Floyd Rose now and its decent but the action is so wack. it has a very slick neck and i like it cause i can play pretty fast on it. Bu ti want a guitar that i can really play nice on i got like 1000$ so maybe around the 700$ range now. Jacksons are looking nice.
