I'm looking to buy my first electric guitar of my own. I have been using my friends strat but i can't anymore... My price range is up to 200 usd. I already have a decent amp so all i need is a guitar. For my style of music i mainly play hard rock/metal.

If you want a guitar that can do metal there is 3 good choices:

Its a Jackson, it will do metal.

Just played this at GC, VERY good for the price.

My first guitar, GREAT pickups for metal.

The only good thing on that list is the Jackson, the second is a 7 string which is a big HELL NO for begginers, and the LTD is Agathis, the anti-tone wood.

yamaha pacifica 112 is also nice, in addition to the rg321.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
