He's a great player, has great intonation on that fretless solo there, but I find most of his solos to sound the same.

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..

Nice, now be wary that people hate video threads in this forum. My 8-string fretless I hope to finish will be my "solo" Bass. For shredding and what not. And don't worry Applehead, my shredding is quite a bit different than most and is based off the major modes of the F and C scales.

Nice. Though the shininess of that bass hits me even more than the skill
The will to neither strive nor cry,
The power to feel with others give.
Calm, calm me more; nor let me die
Before I have begun to live.

-Matthew Arnold

Arguments are to be avoided; they are always vulgar and often convincing.

I just got an 8-string last week. It's pretty cool, but because of the nut width and the response of the strings, I can't see myself soloing on that any time soon.
