SD Livewire Metal. They're active and have "Metal" in the name.

Also, according to the Schecter website, the C-1 Classic has a Jazz and a JB, which are basicly the quinessential passive metal set.

Before I forget, you'll need to buy 3-way switch to replace the 5-way.

[quote="'']What about the dave mustaine signature pickups? They seem to fit the bill
Mentioned already, they're the Livewires.

Specificly they're the Dave Mustaine Livewires. I mentioned another model.

I didn't outright recommend the DM Livewires because the C1 Classic has the origional, passive versions. AKA the Jazz and the Jeff Beck models.

good luck finding actives you can coil split on the switch. EMG's do come in chrome though.

Chrome EMGs? Care to show us where there's proof of this?

I just got a Duncan Distortion trembucker put in mine, thing screams. I'd give that a shot. 16K output. Pretty decent for a passive pup.

As for the chrome I guess you could put a cover on it? I probably wouldn't though.
