well i get 700 bucks for something im looking at a guitar
but, i also need to do laundray and get some school supplies.
so right now im thinking 20 bucks for those 2 and that leaves
me with about 680.00 for a guitar
I play metal/and shred
jazz and some blues
i would like the guitar to be more for metal and shred.

any suggestions btw my lp needs to go to the shop asap.
i do not like my lp much doesnt suit my style.

How about a Jackson DKMGT? If you need to, you could probably talk the salesperson into dropping the price a bit.

You can't... I could. Easily, it's all about the compression, EQ and gain to get proper metal tone imo. Or you could just toss Hotrails in it, if you like the way tele's look and play it'd be worth it.

For shred though... hmmm...

ESP Viper 400

Hardtail bridge and if you get any color EXCEPT sunburst you get an active emg 85/81 set in it stock. I've played one before in white and loved it, THE best "SG" style guitar under a grand in my experence.
