Ok, while everyone is posting cab questions I might as well ask. I've looked around and I'm not 100% sure so I've got to ask. If I wire two 12'' 8ohm speakers in series would it equal 8 ohms?

Okay, thats one yes and one no.

If no, then how would I make a 8 ohm cab with 12 in. 8 ohm speakers?

you can't.

you can have 16 ohms (series)

or 4 ohms (parallel)

with 2 8 ohm speakers, those are your only choices.

2 8s in parallel would be 4 i thought.... if you wan the cab to be eight im pretty sure you have to have either 2 16 in parallel or 2 4 in series

edit/ maybe i got those backwards

Thats no problem the 16ohm speakers are the same price.

How should I wire 2 16 ohm speakers to get an 8 ohm cab?

Wire the 2 16 ohm speakers in parallel. And that will equal 8 ohms total...
