so recently i have found a trend in some bands, that they have at least like 1 or 2 completely awesome songs but the rest are just...BAD.... so for me the songs would like Phenomenon from thousand foot krutch and naive orleans by anberlin... so share you songs from that kind of bands
#2
I don't understand the Thousand Foot Krutch thing... every song sounds the same, how can one be good and the rest be bad?

You missed my point... listen to the entire Phenomenon album. Phenomenon, Bounce, Last Words, Break The Silence... they all sound the same. What's the difference?

Since when did he do a good song?

Personally I think the Killers are a bit of a one hit wonder...not entirely a one hit wonder as they've got a couple of good songs, I bought Hot Fuss on the basis of hearing a couple of singles and, to my disapointment, the rest of the album was crap.

Killswitch Engage - This Fire Burns
B 52's - Rock Lobster
Boston - More Than a Feeling
Creed - My Sacrifice
Damageplan - Blunt Force Trauma
Iggy Pop - Lust for Life
Inner Circle - Bad Boys
Poison - Every Rose
The Vines - Get Free
The Vapors - Turning Japanese
The Specials - Ghost Town

These are all bands I've tried to get into; I've listened to countless albums from them all, but have only heard the one song that I've liked.

Has anyone seen the Ice-T rap version?

Everyone thought Radiohead was a one-hit-wonder for the longest time, as "Creep" seemed to be the only worthwhile song on Pablo Honey. Then, of course, they released The Bends and OK Computer, and they became super-popular.

Other one-hit wonders:

"Baby Got Back" - Sir Mix-A-Lot
"Blue" - Eiffel 65
"Sell Out" - Reel Big Fish
"Face Down" - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (Sorry, they pretty much are)
"Heaven" - Los Lonely Boys
"Smooth Criminal" - Alien Ant Farm

And the 80's were full of them.

yeah Fountains of Wayne have some really good stuff, I don't even think of Stacy's Mom as one of their songs, it's really different than the other stuff they play, seriously buy the album, it's pretty good

Well minus that bit of language, I agree with what this guy has to say. But its easier to talk about popular songs because that doesnt involve personal opinion. "Good song" means different things to different people.

Wtf. She's scene, and into the usual scene stuff IE Alexisonfire, Comeback Kid... I def. didn't expect that.

Fore sure.

B-52's Rock Lobster is not a one hit wonder. They have Dance This Mess Around, Planet Claire, Rome, Deadbeat Club, and Downtown (cover).

It is a shame that the novelty of Rock Lobster overshadows the rest of their stuff.
