Don't know why there's no thread on them anywhere.

Folk/Death Metal. My drummer friend says they bullshit and that on songs like Vargr i Veum it's physically impossible to do double bass this fast. However, Asmegin credit a drummer with this. So....?

I like them alot. Especially the clean vocals, there's some really nice harmonies on Hin Vordende Sod & So. Is that the only album or are there others?

on me, a friend of mine who drums for hardcore has this weird "three" bass peddle, where it will hit a third bass peddle in or something like that. I'm not a drummer so i don't know. But still.

And i consider it more folk/black... just meh.

Truly good band, i am awaiting the release. If i get a advanced promo i'll upload.
I was here for a while.

Then I was gone.

Now I'm back cause Obama.

Af Helvegum is like the best song evar, with the chick singing the quiet melody and then screaming her head off like a fucken demon.

/Eagerly waiting for the new album.

SO if Janne and Alexi did a gay porn, would I be the only one willing to buy it?

That's a dumb question, you know everyone in here would buy it too. I know I would!

I've been a fan for like... 1½/2 years now. Awesome stuff. Blodhevn is awesome and so is Huldradans-Hin Grønnkledde. Very beautiful songs. Their guest singers have amazing voices.

And I belive they had a drummer for their demos and records, but now they are without one.

Check out my amazing band!

I've been listening to them for ages.

Amazing band, love them. One of the best folk metal bands the genre has to offer.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

Unless otherwise stated, assume everything I say is in my opinion.

Makes me sad to hear that.

Their first album wasn't bad at all. Pretty good effort on each members part.

New album was VERY dissapointing. 5 years for this...

The only part I liked out of the entire album was the end of the title track. It's like they took everything that made the music good and got rid of it, leaving a bland and unexciting album.

I actually associated Lars Nedland's voice with this band (along with the female voices). Also the fact that they made folk very heavy.

I don't understand how NONE of that was on the new album. AAHH!!!

None of the new album really stands out...at all. It's like the elevator music equivalent of folk metal. It's quite strange since most bands seem to attempt to outdo themselves in some way by doing something over the top. Instead, Asmegin just take a step back. It's like learning how to sweep pick and then saying "yea, well I can do power chords a little cleaner since they're easier so why should I sweep?".

This is like "Hey I can hike up a mountain for 20 kilometers nonstop but I'm going to walk on the treadmill instead".
