Right, basically im looking to buy a bass guitar now ive already chosen a suitable guitar but the problem i have is whether or not to buy a bass amp. As i already play guitar i have an electric guitar amp but was wondering whether or not i could use the amp i already have to use with a bass guitar.

Would this be a problem? Does a bass amp do something that an electric guitar amp doesnt? Any help on whether i should buy a bass amp or not would be of great help.

Thanks in advance

you can use a bass through a guitar amp, however, chances are you'll blow it shortly there after

Because i'm only just starting out on bass i've only chosen a cheap guitar. I went for a Fender Squier Affinity, cheap i know but if i dont enjoy playing bass then i've not made much of a loss that way =)
