Well, it was a rough night for me, went to talk to my boss and couldn't get a certain day off that I needed, so I walk out of the building, and flip my MP3 on shuffle, and I hear "maps" by the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. It was one of my really good friend's favourite songs, she used to always be singing that song. It really made me miss those good times, she doesn't talk to me anymore 'cuz I'm kind of a geek now, but it made me think of all the good times that we had, so I was wondering does anyone else out here have a song that when they hear makes them think of someone out there?

"Driftwood" by Cursive makes me think of a former best friend who got heavily into drinking and cocaine. We didn't just grow apart: We eventually fu[/]cking hated each other. He moved yesterday to Florida. I didn't see him before he left. I wouldn't have known whether or not to hug him or kick his teeth in.
Poor advice.

Foul Body Autopsy by Necrophagist brings back the memories of when my old friend and I would go out to the graveyard, dig up dead chicks and eat them...good times...

Hearing Howie Day's Collide makes me think of a certain someone whom I like.

"A Pair Of Brown Eyes" by the pogues reminds me of a girl

smoke, you get more awesome by the minute..... You have an epic beard, live near woods, listen to metal, grill stuff using makeshift bbqs out of old cans, and now we find out you have stabbed someone in the dick

no I didn't go geek, she finally opened her eyes and realized I was a geek, but of the highest breed

she thinks old music is kinda geeky, and I was really into Pink Floyd's album The Wall, and one day I tried to explain it, the next night was a skool dance, we're hangin out and she just says I think we shouldn't hang out anymore

My thoughst exactly.

Especially an album that's been built up to have a purposeful meaning/story and probably, in actuality, doesn't. Like most Classic Rock albums.
Poor advice.

"Purify" - Lacuna Coil
Best friend who moved to Kansas. She has sort of a bad home life, and it really sucks that she's gone. Also "Falling Again", because it's her feeling and she loves the song.
"This is my Dream" - Lacuna Coil
Best friend who is very encouraging and supportive. Right now "The Secret..." by the same band also fits, after last Monday night.

-Wahrheit Lied

Octavarium is one for the good times. It's not like I look back with regret or anything.

Probably the one that reminds me of good shit is Stand by Sly And The Family Stone. Ex-bf ****ing loved 'em, and we're both friends, so that's a plus I guess..
I do tend to be a bit pessimistic anyway.

no, I don't think it's just a girl thing, there are guys at my skool that don't listen to anything that hasn't been on the top 40, I tried to introduce them to the Clash, but that turned into a pretty good waste of time

helena by mcr reminds me of my friend who died back in high school, it was her favourite band and she died right around the time the video came out so it reminds me of the week spent going to wakes and funerals and such

nearly lost you by the screaming trees, no rain by blind melon, and old ten era pearl jam songs remind me of when i used to hang out with my friends down at the local bars and punk clubs and the railroad yard.

I usually associate songs with a time (or person) that I have went through.
-One ex of mine played Modern Swinger by the Pink Spiders in her car whenever i was with her, and it has always stuck.
-Another ex played Reggie & The Full Effect all the time when I was around, so any song of their's rings a bell of her.
-Another one played a lot of Sex Pistols (which I dug as well), and I'll always associate their hits with her.

...I seem to date a lot of punks... o_O
