ok so I just spotted a brand new Mig's on our local stores...
I was thinking it could do 80's thrash and shred but could it?

and when I looked at the price tag it's only about 200USD brand new!
and screamed in the back of my mind WTF!

Price's:
Mig 100 - 16,110 PHP / 320USD

Mig 50 - 11,260 / 220USD

Mig 60 - 12,950 / 250USD

so my main questions are is it reliable?
can it do 80's tone like a JCM800?

I didn't completely understand that...

What voltage is there in the philippines: 110 volts or 220/240 volts AC ?

You say you saw Sovtek amps at your local store.
Can you give us the name and address of that store so we can place an order ?

I think the voltage is around 220/240v AC

they're called Audiophile, but I think they don't ship outside the Philippines...

and hey can they do 80's stuff (thrash and shred)?

EDIT: so if I put a Boss SD-1 infront of say the Mig 50 would it
have the gain and tone for 80's?

That would be the mig 50H, the "H" would be for "High gain"

I've heard of a soundclip which is a cranked (I think) Mig 100
and it does have a good amount of Gain and Tone on it...

so are you saying that can I do 80's tone in every Mig range
or a specific one only?

Which 80s tone? Andy Summers clean four-hole Marshall, sure with the one that doesn't have the high gain preamp. Hair band "metal" sure, with the high gain one. Like I said, these are fairly faithful Marshall copies and will do pretty much anything the 80s Marshalls they copied could do.

sorry for another late reply...

the tone I'm looking are:

80's thrash - Metallica, Judas Priest, Diamond Head

Shred - Paul Gilbert/Racer X, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani

but the major player here is the Shred...
