I need a cool tapping song to learn. Ive mastered Atreyu's solo in Deanne the Arsonist, and the intro to Lipgloss and Black. And i can do the intro to B4Mv's The Poison. But Eruption is a bit too difficult and ill never be able to do the tapping in the Ex's and Oh's solo by Atreyu. So, along that genre, any good songs?

Escape the Fate - My Apocalypse has a nice tapping solo but the last part of it gets kinda fast...

I don't get how you can do Lip Gloss and Black but not Eruption.
Same pattern.
If anything the small shift in LGAB would help you in eruption.

correction: i can do eruption, i havent tried the tapping in about a month and didnt think i could still do it, but yeah i can. ill try those other two songs now.

Intro to thunderstruck by Ac/Dc

Angus is not tapping. He is just doing hammer-ons and pull-offs.

Its called legato.

You could always try Midnight by Joe Satriani (I know its a bit of a genre jump but its still good for keeping your tapping chops up)

And you could work on the tapping parts in Spanish Fly by EVH.

no offence to your taste in music, but that was the most horrible thing i've ever heard.

Yeah the song itself is pretty crap.

But the outro is incredibly melodic, and a considerable change in the tone of the song.

underoath - the last

it has a cool tapping intro, not fast but i don't know what you're looking for.

BFMV - her voice resides, 4 words, & suffocating under words of sorrow both have tapping solos

Especially for fans of Tool, APC, Avant-Garde, Ambient music, rock instrumentals, and fans of music in general. Will not disappoint.

Joe Satriani's Midnight. That was the first song I learned for tapping and I still play it now. Its so good, and simple.

justin, that was easily the most inspiring, helpful piece of advice anyone has ever given me in regards to my musical pursuits.

Well once I saw a video of him just playing with 1 hand and tapping the frets

Yeah that is not tapping. That is called hammeron/pulloffs. It is only tapping if you are using your right hand to play the frets. Hendrix never used tapping to my knowledge, but there is lot of footage of him playing with just one hand. Playing with one hand is also called kicking the guitars ass.

Here y'arr. Section from Trivium's Crusade. Don't flame me for not putting it in code. All on B string. All sixteenth notes.

Part 1:
12p0h7h8h15p0h8h14p0h5h7h8h17p0h2h3
Without all hammers and junk:
12-0-7-8-15-0-8-14-0-5-7-8-17-0-2-3

Part 2:
12p0h7h8h15p0h8h14p0h7h8p0h5h7p0h3
Without crap:
12-0-7-8-15-0-8-14-0-7-8-0-5-7-0-3

Play Part 1 once, then 2, then 1, then 2.

A String section is the same, but on the A string. Have fun!
